alcohol tracker — the honest drink logger
privacy policy
The short version: your drink diary never leaves your phone. Alcohol Tracker has no accounts, no analytics, no ads and no cloud database. Drinking is a private matter and the app is built so that it stays one — we could not read your diary if we wanted to, and we don't want to.
1. what we collect
Nothing, by default. Everything you enter — drinks, volumes, ABV, prices, dry days, targets, notes and settings — is stored only on your device as local app data. We operate no server that receives it, and the app works fully offline.
2. what stays on your device
- Every logged drink, with its volume, strength, time, cost and calories
- Dry days you bank, your streaks and your calendar history
- Daily and weekly targets, and the country whose unit definition you use
- Your optional BAC profile — body weight and sex — which exists solely to make the Widmark estimate meaningful
- Reminder times, tone mode, appearance and app-lock settings
3. no analytics, no ads, no trackers
Alcohol Tracker ships with zero analytics SDKs, zero advertising SDKs and zero third-party trackers. This is a category where competing apps have served alcohol-delivery and casino ads to people trying to drink less. We think that is indefensible, so there is no ad slot in this product at any tier. If our stance on third-party code ever changes, this policy will be updated first and the change called out in the release notes.
4. apple health / health connect (optional, off by default)
You may switch on health sync, which writes your logged drinks to Apple Health (iOS) or Health Connect (Android) as alcohol-consumption entries. It is write-only — the app never reads anything back from your health record. It stays off until you turn it on, and you can revoke it at any time in your system settings.
5. notifications
Reminders are scheduled locally on your device. Discreet notifications are on by default, which means lock-screen text never names alcohol — a nudge reads as a neutral check-in, so a glance over your shoulder reveals nothing. You can turn discretion off if you prefer explicit wording.
6. purchases
Alcohol Tracker Pro is sold through the App Store and Google Play. Those stores process the payment and tell the app whether an entitlement is active; we never see your card details, and no account is required to buy or to restore. Entitlement checks happen on-device and tolerate being offline.
7. your controls
- Edit or delete any entry, any time — every logged drink is editable in place
- Export everything to CSV whenever you like: free, unlimited, no account
- Erase all data from within the app with one confirmed tap
- Lock the app behind Face ID, Touch ID or biometrics
- Deleting the app deletes all local data
8. children
Alcohol Tracker is rated 18+ and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone, of any age.
9. changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new effective date. Material changes will be called out in the app's release notes.
