alcohol tracker — the honest drink logger
terms of use
The short version: the app is a diary — not a doctor, and not a breathalyser. Logging, your own numbers and the exit are free forever; Pro buys depth, never access to your own data. You must be of legal drinking age to use it.
1. what alcohol tracker is
A drink diary. It records what you choose to log, converts it into standard drinks using your country's own definition, and shows you the result. It is a mirror — it reports, it does not diagnose, prescribe or treat.
2. age
Alcohol Tracker is rated 18+ and is intended for adults of legal drinking age in their jurisdiction. Do not use it if you are not.
3. not medical advice
Nothing in the app is medical advice. Low-risk drinking guidelines are shown as a ceiling with its source named, never as a target to reach or a verdict on you. The World Health Organization's position is that no level of alcohol consumption is risk-free. If you are worried about your drinking, or thinking about stopping abruptly after heavy long-term use, speak to a clinician — withdrawal can be dangerous and is not something an app should manage.
4. estimates are estimates
Standard-drink counts depend on the volume and strength you enter, and on the unit definition of the country you select — a “unit” is 8 g of ethanol in the UK, 14 in the US, 20 in Japan, 12 in Denmark. Calorie figures are modelled from ethanol content. Prices are whatever you type. The app is exactly as accurate as what you log.
The BAC estimate is never a green light to drive. Where the app shows a blood-alcohol figure, it is an educational Widmark estimate with wide error bars — affected by food, medication, body composition, time and your own biology. It is not a breathalyser, it cannot tell you that you are fit to drive, and no number it displays should ever be read as permission. If you have been drinking, do not drive. When in doubt, don't.
5. free and pro
Free forever: unlimited logging, custom drinks, back-dating and editing, this week's and this month's numbers, the calendar, dry days and streaks, daily and weekly targets, widgets, full CSV export, dark mode, app lock and reminders.
Pro adds depth: history beyond 90 days with year-over-year comparison, advanced insights, the BAC monitor, quick-log tiles, PDF reports and cloud backup. Pro never gates the log, the truth, or the exit — your own data is always readable and always exportable, whatever you have paid.
6. subscriptions and payment
Pro is available monthly, annually, or as a one-time lifetime purchase, billed by the App Store or Google Play. A free trial, where offered, converts to the plan you actually chose — never a more expensive one — and we remind you before it does. Cancel any time from your store's subscription settings; cancelling stops the next charge and leaves everything you have already logged untouched. A lifetime purchase stays a purchase: we will not convert it into a subscription.
7. no ads, ever
There is no advertising in Alcohol Tracker at any tier, and no ad slot in the product to sell later.
8. your data, your responsibility
Because everything is stored on your device and we hold no copy, we cannot recover your diary if you lose your phone, delete the app or wipe the device. Export to CSV periodically — it is free, unlimited and needs no account. Back-ups are your responsibility.
9. availability
The app is provided as-is, without warranty. We may change or discontinue features, but we will not retroactively paywall something that was free.
