pinch — sodium tracker & salt coach
sources &
health information
Pinch is an informational wellness tracker, not medical advice or a medical device. It helps you record sodium values and compare them with a target you choose. It does not diagnose, treat, prevent, or manage any condition. Your clinician or dietitian should determine any personal sodium target.
how Pinch uses health information
Pinch may show a sample daily sodium budget, educational copy about sodium, and food-label comparisons. These are general educational tools—not a recommendation for your individual health needs. Different people may need different guidance, including people with heart, kidney, endocrine, or other conditions; people taking medicines; people who lose substantial sodium through heat exposure or sport; and anyone following a clinician-directed plan.
Food values are estimates based on entries, labels, and the nutrition data available for a food. Brands, recipes, portions, and preparation vary. Check the current package label and serving size before relying on a value.

what Pinch does not do
- It does not prescribe a sodium limit or make a treatment plan.
- It does not replace professional medical, nutrition, or emergency advice.
- It does not assess whether a food is safe for you, or whether a target is appropriate for you.
If you have symptoms, a diagnosed condition, are pregnant, take medication, or have been given a clinician-directed nutrition plan, use that professional guidance rather than an app estimate.
