pinch — sodium tracker & salt coach
terms of use
Medical disclaimer: Pinch supports easier salt habits — it is not medical advice, a medical device, or a substitute for professional care. Sodium targets vary from person to person; if you manage blood pressure, kidney, heart or any other condition, follow your doctor's and dietitian's guidance, not the app's defaults.
1. acceptance
By downloading, purchasing a subscription for, or using Pinch, you agree to these terms. Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA) also applies and controls if it conflicts with these terms.
2. license
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Pinch on devices you own or control, per the applicable app store terms.
3. free features & pinch plus
Pinch includes core sodium-tracking features at no charge. Pinch Plus unlocks premium features shown in the app, which may include online food search and logging, four-week trends and calendar history, unlimited custom foods, CSV export, and the Home Screen widget. Available features may evolve as the app improves.
4. auto-renewable subscriptions
Pinch Plus is offered through weekly, monthly, and yearly auto-renewable subscriptions. The price and billing period shown on the purchase screen are the price and period that apply to you; prices may vary by country, currency, tax, or future App Store pricing changes.
- Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase.
- Your subscription renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
- Apple may charge your account for renewal within 24 hours before the current period ends.
- Manage or cancel in your Apple Account subscription settings. Deleting Pinch does not cancel a subscription.
- Use “Restore Purchases” in Pinch to restore an eligible subscription. Refund requests are handled by Apple under its policies.
Apple processes subscription payments. Pinch uses RevenueCat to retrieve the available subscription products, complete purchase and restore flows, and determine whether premium access is active.
5. sodium numbers are estimates
Sodium values in Pinch come from the amounts you enter and typical label data. Real foods vary by brand, portion and preparation — always verify the packaging. Budgets, flags like "won't fit", and coach messages are habit aids, not clinical calculations; never use them for medical dosing or treatment decisions. See Sources & Health Information for the public-health references used by Pinch.
6. online food search
Pinch Plus may provide online food search using nutrition information supplied by FatSecret through a service operated for Pinch. Search results can be incomplete, outdated, or inaccurate. You are responsible for checking serving sizes and package labels before relying on a result.
7. reminders & availability
Notification delivery depends on your device settings, Focus modes, battery state and OS behavior we don't control. Verify your reminder times after changing time zones or reinstalling.
8. your data, your responsibility
Your food log and settings are stored locally on your device. Online search and subscription services necessarily process limited data as described in the privacy policy. Keep regular device backups; we cannot recover local data from a lost or erased phone.
9. acceptable use
Don't reverse engineer, resell, or use the app in unlawful ways.
10. disclaimer of warranty
Pinch is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, to the maximum extent permitted by law.
11. limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, tinkersmithstudio is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, including dietary outcomes, arising from use of the app.
12. changes
We may update these terms; the current version always lives at this page with its effective date. Continued use after changes means acceptance.
